Standard Appoints Manager of Environmental Health and Safety

SEPT. 21, 2009 — Standard Dyes, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Brown as Manager of Environmental Health and Safety.

This new position exemplifies Standard’s proactive response to future “green” initiatives and provides customers with a higher level of technical assistance for the safe and responsible use of the company’s products.

Don was most recently environmental manager for Hanes Brands with responsibility for U.S. and global facilities. He also served as a facility engineer with Sara Lee Knit Products and was employed with Burlington Industries where he held the positions of Product Development Engineer, Plant Chemist and Divisional Engineer.

Don earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee.
