PERMASPERSE® Liquid Acid Dyes for Wood Stain

PERMASPERSE Liquid Acid Dyes accentuate the finish and appearance of wood without obscuring the finely detailed grain. They add color and enhance texture while allowing the natural beauty to shine through.

These colorfast dyes are readily soluble and offer superior penetration compared to pigments. Because dyes attach to the cells of the wood — not just on the surface — you can achieve a deeper concentration of color without concealing the patterns in the grain.

On dense fine-grained woods, the surface pores are too small for pigment particles to attach. On porous woods, more pigment becomes lodged in the pores than in the flat grain causing uneven coverage. In all cases, pigments require a binding agent — dyes do not.
